2020 Summer Softball Information
Northland Sports Alliance offers softball for girls 4 years through 8th grade.
Registration runs through April 19, 2020 without penalty. After that date we will do our best to accommodate your request but can not guarantee a spot for your child.
Divisions are determined by a child's grade in school.
T-BALL PROGRAM - Our T-ball program is designed for the little ones. They meet on Monday and /or Wednesday for one hour where they have a 30 minute practice, followed by a 30 minute game. We use trainers to work with the kids and teach them to love the game in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We do rely on Parent Coordinators to communicate with the team, pick up t-shirts, schedule pictures, etc. You do not have to coach the team but are more like the manager. No score or standings are kept.
COACH PITCH PROGRAM - Our coach pitch program is designed for the child who has already done t-ball and wants to move on to the next program. They meet on Monday and /or Wednesday for one hour where they have a 30 minute practice, followed by a 30 minute game. We still use trainers for this age group and rely on parent coordinators. No score or standings are kept.
INTRODUCTORY MACHINE PITCH PROGRAM - Our introductory machine program is the next step up. Ideally, children have already participated in t-ball and coach pitch. However, that is not a requirement as this program is designed for Kindergarten age kids. They meet on Monday and /or Wednesday for one hour where they have a 30 minute practice, followed by a 30 minute game. We still use trainers for this age group and rely on parent coordinators. No score or standings are kept.
1ST THROUGH 8TH GRADE PROGRAM - This is where kids have separate practices and games. Typically, teams practice once during the week and once on the weekend before games start. Once games start they move to just one practice per week which is usually on the weekends. Games are on Monday and /or Wednesday.
UNIFORMS - NSA will supply jerseys for all teams and players as a part of the league registration fee. Teams may decide to purchase uniforms on their own. If a team decides to purchase uniforms and elects not to wear NSA uniforms, there is no discount in the registration fee.
PRACTICES - Practice times and locations are determined by the coach of the team. Teams practice at Mark L. McHenry park (formerly Tiffany Springs Park) and schools in the Park Hill School District. Fields and times are allotted at the coaches meeting.
WE NEED COACHES - NSA teams are coached by parent volunteers who donate their time and energy to provide these programs for our kids. Parent involvement as a coach or assistant coach is strongly encouraged at all levels of our soccer program. Anyone interested in coaching or assisting can indicate so on their child's registration form or contact the league office for additional information. We appreciate all our coaches who step up and help us offer the best program we can.
COACHES MEETING - The coaches meeting will be held April 23rd at 6:00 pm at Congress Middle School. Coaches please plan on attending this important meeting.
1. Before the rosters are finalized on April 18th we will refund the entire fee less a $10 administrative fee.
2. Between the time the rosters are finalized on April 18th and the season begins on May 13th we will refund 50% of the fee.
3. Once the league season begins on May 13th there will be no refunds.
WEATHER HOTLINE is 1-800-599-0673 - Every attempt is made to update the hotline as soon as we determine games are cancelled. We update two hours before game times. We only update the hotline when we cancel so if you hear an old date and it's within two hours of the first game, we are playing.
